Dear International Partners
I’m very pleased to share with your students an Erasmus placement opportunity in
the Great Lake of Alqueva, in a touristic enterprise called Amieira Marina
(www.amieiramarina.com ) located in the south of Portugal, in the Alentejo region.
I would be very appreciated if you could advertise the attached opportunity near
your students as soon as possible, as the placement is to begin by April/May.
Actually the Placement Offer in Amieira Marina is quite interesting to Tourism
students. Despite contacting with a Fluvial Tourism product, really targeted,
students will beneficiate form the opportunity to organize projects by their own and
work with people coming from all over the world.
Amieira Marina is a touristic project, internationally oriented, located near the
great lake of Alqueva providing houseboats for holidays, sailing holidays and other
types of water sports, leisure and touristic activities. They are quite interested
in receiving trainees from central Europe, as they are expanding their services to
this region. This would be, definitely, a very interesting placement for Tourism
students. Besides Portuguese clients, Amieira Marina receives clients coming from
all over the world, especially in winter/summer period.
Nevertheless, and as far as I was informed, the main activity is to organize the
cycling and walking routes and guide groups of tourists. So, the interns must have
the physical and physiological requested condition to proceed with this demanding
activity.
The duration of the placement is preferable of 6 months. I guess it can be
negotiated for 3 months. And it is to start by April/may
