Fellowships Alexander von Humboldt

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

we are approaching you asking for your support in disseminating information on a new fellowship offer by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is very interested in attracting the scientific elites of the new EU member states as well as of the accession states of the EU to enter research collaborations with Germany. In order to better reach highly qualified researchers of the mentioned countries we are offering two additional funding schemes over the next years:

20 additional two-year-fellowships and

20 additional short-time-fellowships

for postdocs from the new EU member states

as well as from the accession states of the EU

Recent recipients of Ph.D.s have the possibility to apply for research stays of 13 to 24 months in the context of the two-year-fellowship. The short-term-fellowships offer already established  postdoctoral researchers a flexible form of cooperation for altogether 9 to 18 months over a period of 3 years, divided into up to 3 stays with a duration of 3 to 6 months each. This facilitates continuing a permanent position in the home countries while at the same time maintaining long-term cooperations with partners in Germany.

We would like to ask you to alert potential candidates to the Humboldt research fellowship and to disseminate information to colleagues who have collaborations with these countries. Please note that former Humboldt fellows may not apply. Further information can be found under:

Научни семинари

Има предложение от следващия семестър (след 01.10.2006) всеки вторник около 15:00 да се провеждат научни семинари в Химическия факултет. Лектори на семинарите ще са преподаватели и дори изявени студенти от факултета, но планираме да каним и гости от страната и чужбина. Основната идея на предложението е създаване на традиция, която цели да повиши академичния дух на преподавателите и студентите във факултета.

Моля за вашите идеи, мнения и предложения тук или в дискусионния форум на университета.
